OpenAI made two Daybreak Red announcements in early November. On November 4, it said GPT-5.6 Cyber was available to approved customers in AWS GovCloud (US-East) through Amazon Bedrock. On November 5, it introduced GPT-6 Cyber, initially available through the API and Codex to a select group of approved Daybreak Red customers. These are controlled-access offerings, not general model launches. (https://openai.com/index/daybreak-red-aws-govcloud/; https://openai.com/index/introducing-gpt-6-cyber)

GPT-5.6 Cyber through AWS GovCloud
The GovCloud announcement concerns GPT-5.6 Cyber, not GPT-6 Cyber. OpenAI says eligible customers can use it through Daybreak Red on Amazon Bedrock in the AWS GovCloud (US-East) region. Access requires Daybreak Red approval and AWS provisioning; approval for Daybreak Red does not automatically enable the model in an AWS account. OpenAI directs interested teams to apply or contact their OpenAI or AWS account team about eligibility. (https://openai.com/index/daybreak-red-aws-govcloud/)
GPT-6 Cyber access
OpenAI describes GPT-6 Cyber as a cybersecurity model for authorized work. Its announcement says initial access is limited to a select group of approved Daybreak Red customers through the API and Codex, with plans to expand access to all Daybreak Red customers. The API changelog points users to the Daybreak setup guide before a first request. The November 4 and November 5 announcements describe different model versions and deployment paths. Teams evaluating either offer should confirm approval, product eligibility, and cloud provisioning with OpenAI and their provider rather than assuming access to one path grants access to the other.
