Cursor Cloud Agents can now build and publish live apps
Cursor Apps lets Cloud Agents build web apps, provision hosting and Postgres, and publish only after required security checks and an explicit user action.

Cursor announced Build Live Apps on November 5. A Cloud Agent can scaffold a web app, provision hosting and a Postgres database when needed, configure authentication, and return a live link after the user chooses to publish. The feature is available on paid plans with access to Cloud Agents. (https://cursor.com/changelog; cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/apps">https://cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/apps)

From prompt to a hosted app
The workflow requires a Cloud Agent; Cursor says app building is not supported locally. Users can start from scratch, creating a repository on Cursor Origin, or ask Cursor to deploy an app from an existing GitHub repository. The agent prepares a preview, and the user chooses the app URL before publishing. Hosting is provisioned in an account Cursor creates for the team or individual plan; private and team apps sit behind Cursor sign-in. (https://cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/apps)
Publishing controls
Cursor says every publish runs built-in checks for secrets, credential files, .env files, and source maps, followed by an AI security review for serious issues. The app does not go live until the checks pass and the user explicitly chooses to publish. Team admins can add instructions to the review, see the team’s apps and secrets, and unpublish apps. Public sharing is disabled by default for Teams and Enterprise; an admin can enable it in the Apps dashboard. (https://cursor.com/changelog; https://cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/apps)
These are Cursor’s descriptions of its publishing controls, not an independent security audit. Teams should review the app, secrets, and visibility settings before making a link public or sharing it beyond the intended group.
Availability and sources
Cursor says Apps is available on all paid plans with Cloud Agents. The official documentation covers app creation from Cursor Origin or GitHub repositories, publication checks, private and team sharing, and admin controls. (https://cursor.com/changelog; https://cursor.com/docs/cloud-agent/apps)
