ChatGPT rolls out GPT-6 with interactive Intelligent UI

OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI in the Chat tab on October 7. Instead of always returning plain text, ChatGPT can combine text, visuals, and interactive elements—such as diagrams, charts, forms, calculators, bill splitters, or games—when it judges that format useful. Responses can take the shape of the task

OpenAI says Intelligent UI lets GPT-6 choose how to present a response. Comparisons may appear side by side, explanations may use an interactive diagram, and some requests can produce a small tool that works inside the conversation. The answer can also begin streaming while GPT-6 continues to reason or use tools, with additional findings arriving in the same response. These are features OpenAI describes for the ChatGPT Chat experience, not changes to the models powering Work or Codex.

Rollout and model availability

The rollout started globally on October 7 for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise in the Chat tab, then expanded to Free and Go on October 8. Enterprise availability depends on workspace admin settings. OpenAI says GPT-6 uses GPT-6 Sol on Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise and GPT-6 Luna on Free and Go. Intelligent UI is available from Instant through Extra High reasoning; the Pro reasoning option continues to use GPT-6 Astra and does not support Intelligent UI. Check the current model picker and plan controls as the rollout proceeds.
